Liberal MP Craig Kelly says computer models showing the Arctic will have no sea ice in summer by 2035 are simply “cherry picked” information to scare children and cause hysteria.

Scientists at the British Antarctic Survey, the Met Office and the University of Cambridge are using computer models to study the Arctic’s last interglacial period over 100,000 years ago which indicate the Arctic will have no sea ice by 2035.

“We’ve heard this time and time again these so-called computer models,” Mr Kelly told Sky News host Chris Smith.

“They cherry pick their start point … to scare the children with.”
